    Das kam mir auch in ERinnerung. Du musst beim Mast reinschieben entscheiden, ob du die Öffnung haben wolltest oder nicht.

    War nicht gerade komfortabel und wird heute ja meist durch Neopren inkl RV abgedeckt.

    Das erinnert mich sehr an dieses Schothorn-Design, bei dem auf ganz ähnliche Weise Unter- und Achterliek voneinander gelöst werden könnrn. Ist das so anders?

    Jedenfalls scheint patrik jetzt die Aufteilung 4 zu 5 Latten Segel analog zu z.B. Severne so zu gestalten, das das 5Latten Segel wieder für eine große Range gemacht ist, nicht mehr als flaches Stück...

    Ich habe das 6.2er 5WAVE, das ist alles andere als flach. Durch die Dragon Bahn zieht sich bei Druck ein fetter Bauch in das Segel. Wenn die Grafik final ist, ist man davon wohl abgewichen, wäre schade.

    Bei den Herstellern die mir so geläufig sind ist das 4 Latten Segel ehr für "richtige" Wellen, neutrales Handling, sehr gutes On-Off (nicht so gut wie beim 3 Latten Segel aber die sind ja fast vollständig wieder verschwunden). Nachteilig sind tendenziell weniger Fahrstabilität, geringere Fahrleistungen auf der Geraden aber oft einfacher bei Hack zu halsen, da ich besser Power rausnehmen kann.

    Damit sind die 5 Latten Segel fast erklärt. Für bis 6qm ideale Bump-n-Jump Segel.

    2027 Loftsails Skyblade und Racingblade.

    SKYBLADE
    The Skyblade is Loftsails’ pure foil slalom sail, developed specifically for competitive hydrofoil racing and designed to perform when flying at
    full speed for entire heats — a dedicated racing tool, not a crossover. Slim, efficient profiles and a flat entry create a low-drag shape optimized
    for close angles of attack, accelerating decisively onto the foil and settling into a clean, stable profile. A slightly reduced aspect ratio makes the
    sail more stable and less sheeting-sensitive, while a narrower head with increased height improves high-wind stability. Deeper clew cut-outs
    promote greater lower leech twist, making speed easier to find and hold across the wind range. Carefully tuned carbon battens create a light,
    stiff framework, while TekCam 3 cams deliver smooth, reliable rotation critical through gybes and transitions. Reinforced mast pockets, Dual
    Kevlar clew radials, and Metallic Cam Interfaces ensure structural control and durability, while reduced marker cloth and scrim lower the sail’s
    center of mass for better reactivity. Skyblade is designed to give nothing away.



    RACINGBLADE
    The Racingblade sits at the heart of the Loftsails racing program — a dedicated PWA fin slalom sail engineered for the conditions where races
    are decided, performing when pressure stays high, trim is exact, and margins are small. A higher aspect ratio and refined profile geometry
    reduce drag, building speed quickly out of the start and settling into an efficient, low-drag shape, while a slightly deeper profile below the boom
    delivers smoother power and quicker acceleration onto the plane. Revised luff curves and batten angles lower the center of effort, distributing
    load evenly and keeping the sail stable when fully powered. Carefully tuned battens sharpen the entry angle for a shallower profile, while
    side-alternating X-Ply pockets maintain symmetry heat after heat. The TekCam 3 system delivers fast, predictable rotation under racing loads.
    Reinforced mast pockets, Dual Kevlar clew radials, and durable X-Ply laminates ensure structural control and lasting performance across a
    broader, more targeted size range — from 6.3 m² to 9.1 m². Racingblade holds its end when speed, control, and consistency decide the result.

    Speedscape
    The Speedscape is a new addition to the Loftsails range — a dedicated slalom-speed sail without cams, rooted in the proven Oxygen platform,
    built for fin and foil windsurfers who want real speed without trading away handling ease. Higher aspect ratios than the Oxygen deliver a
    cleaner, more aerodynamically efficient profile, while the no-cam layout keeps transitions smooth and rotation uncluttered. A slightly deeper
    lower profile pushes in low-end power and earlier drive without requiring a cammed sail’s commitment. Dual luff panels hold a more consistent
    working shape across the wind range, while two clew eyelets extend the usable range — one adding depth for lighter winds, the other
    flattening the profile as conditions build. A cross batten links the boom to the batten frame for upper-end control. Full X-Ply construction, a
    Kevlar-reinforced clew panel, and dual-layer Dacron head panels ensure durability, while reduced scrim keeps swing weight low. Speedscape
    delivers slalom-level speed without the compromise of cam complexity.
